The best oven out there... It is my second purchase of this oven, After 8 years of constant use, I was ready for a new one...The old one still worked but I had failed to clean it properly. I suggest wiping down all inside surfaces of a cold oven as often as you can.
That being said, I cook just about everything in this...only using my regular oven maybe during the holidays...

4Too glitchy for the price

Tired of toaster ovens that were too much work to keep clean and working I decided on this eye-appealing oven. It's nice and has nice features, but the troubles started within months of first use. The main control knob, the one which you rotate to choose between toast, bake, broil, etc., started skipping or not changing selections when turned. Later the display began fading and even dropping symbols. Now when cooking it almost completely blanks out. Their website instructs you to unplug it and listen for a beep when you plug it in, which indicates all is good. Indeed it returns to normal...until the next time you use the oven and it repeats the behavior. This is too much money for an oven to have these type quality issues. I really like the oven, but would like it more if it weren't failing within the first 6 months.

Sublime full-size oven replacement.

I purchased this because my electric range was garbage and I was tired of heating up my whole house while baking in the summer. Since I cook for one most of the time, I knew its size was perfect. What I did not expect was that the oven would also be large enough to handle a roast duck with ease. It is easy to use, although it is rather complex for a toaster oven. I've never had a bad result using this. I also learned how poorly insulated my actual oven is, and the relative advantage in cooking in having a smaller oven. Be advised: even without convection turned on, cooking times are dramatically lessened. Also, I've never managed to burn anything in this oven, because there are no hot spots and the thermostat is quite reliable. I have baked numerous pizzas using my old 13" pizza stone, and the aforementioned duck. I regularly bake french bread and bread puddings, and pies as well. I've made a few souffles, and it is of course a great toaster. I will be roasting a pork loin next week, so I may update this review, but I anticipate that will be just as easy as everything else.

My New Best Friend!!

While on vacation, a relative had a toaster oven that he used for every day cooking. I thought that was a novel idea and couldn't really believe you could do that. I asked to use his oven to bake some cornbread and he told me to use the toaster over. I had my doubts, especially as I am gluten free and gluten free baking usually takes longer than normal. I was amazed and surprised that it turned out so well, so once we got back home, I did a lot of research and bought this Breville toaster oven. Have not been disappointed. It works great for everything from broiling hamburgers to baking, reheating leftovers from the restaurant you dont want to come out soggy, and of course, making toast!! What I like the best is that it does not heat up the entire room like putting on the oven does, something I dont like during the warm summer months. The temperatures and times are pretty much exact as you would expect for a regular oven. It does have convection and I have read that convection can make baking times shorter, but I have not seen that to be the case. Perhaps it is becuz I bake gluten free and it takes generally longer. This oven is also large enough to hold a 9X13" pan and a decent size pizza pan and I loved that it came with pans as well. A good deal for a great product!!

Fantastic oven and totally worth the price!

Buy this now, it's that good! Due to extensive damage in our kitchen, we knew we'd be without an oven for a while. Dear husband had the great forethought to purchase this oven to use while waiting for our kitchen to be repaired. I love it because it's multifunctional, convenient, easy to use and can handle everything from bagels to meatloaf. I like it so much that I'm giving away our toaster oven and toaster because this oven is sufficient. :) Still waiting for the kitchen to come back to life but this oven has made our plight much more bearable!
